This little fish is short, wide and thick with a flat rocker principle for lots of fun plaining speed perfect for smaller waves. However, these boards can be extremely fun and functional in good quality waves and waves of size.

The classic twin keel fish was developed in the mid 70's as a knee board by Steve Lis. Pintail surfboards were a favourite of his, but his swim fins would hang over the side creating drag. He decided to split the tail, giving him the width needed to support his fins, while still holding on to the performance characteristics of a pintail. This fish proved to be a barrel machine, able to paddle in early, take fairly late drops, hold high and tight in the pocket and was snappy off the top. It wasn‚ at long until he had refined the design to suit stand up surfers, and the fish design took off.

This PEANUT is about one thing - FUN. From beginner to advanced surfers the Peanut delivers a forgiving ride. A wide point slightly rear of the centre allows the board to turn with ease. Combined with a full, softer rail and round nose, easy rocker entry it transitions smoothly through turns. The tail rocker is a little flatter giving you some extra planning speed across the slow sections.

SHAPER BIO:
Jalaan Slabb is an Aboriginal, 16 year young female Shaper and surfer from the small coastal town of Fingal Head, Australia. Hailing from the Coodjinburra Clan of the Bundjalung nation, Jalaan grew up learning her culture from her family. Born into a surfing family, she has always surfed and just a couple of years ago was introduced to the art of shaping and she hasn’t stopped. Jalaan’s passion for designing and shaping surfboards comes from her connection to the land and the ocean. It is evident in her shapes that in every touch there is something special.

The Scrambled Egg has a constant curve outline shape, the rocker is low through middle of board with late nose & tail kick, combined with a very subtle single concave bottom contour starting from the nose and middle section, which feeds into a double concave and vee out the tail area. This design allows the board to fit easily into the curve of the wave, paddles very well and will easily flow through turns.

What We Think:

This board is not quite an all rounder, but if the waves are chest high and over you will be flying. It has enough volume to get you into waves early, but it will never hold you back.

Technical Description:

The IT-15 model is a high performance model developed for the WCT surfer Italo Ferreira. Shaped with a well-balanced outline that foils into a fuller wider nose creating excellent stability upon returning from extreme manoeuvres. We keep a sharp edge around the curve of the tail, which allows maximum control through out any type of manoeuvre. This boards bottom come standard with a slight single concave that runs from nose to tail. Ridden best with a squash tail but also works very well with a round tail or swallow tail to accommodate waves from anywhere in the world. We can put together this board in many different sizes to accommodate any customer his or her own Magic Italo model.
